Necro, the original server host

Necro, the original server host, who ran the first seasons off his laptop and later ruled Japan, planned trains and built Car Mountain Castle.

Before there was an Axolotl SMP, there was Necro’s laptop. nYx, who the friends mostly call Necro, hosted the first three seasons himself, and the group’s whole story grew out of that. prop remembered it later: “this all started with necro hosting origins mod server in his lap” 1. He is also, by prop’s count, one of the three Discord admins, with prop and kira 2.

The laptop years

In Necro Origin SMP he chose the wither origin (“necro is wither” 3) and released the world seed once the dragon was down on 2021-05-08 4. Hosting meant the world went dark whenever the laptop did, and its IP kept changing; the channel for posting new addresses became a permanent fixture. When prop wanted the server on, the rule was simple: “if server is down its necro who has to turn it on” 5. Later seasons moved to kira’s box, and on 2021-06-18 he was given the Retired Server Host role 6.

He did not like the name “Necro SMP”, on the grounds that “it literally translates to dead/death smp” 7. It became Potato SMP (N3cro SMP becomes Potato SMP). His own luck matched the name: he died in a hidden hole above a ravine and lost everything, just as he had on Origins, and his mood “dropped way too low” 8.

ASMP S1: parkour, models and a castle

He turned up in Axolotl SMP Season 1 as nYxCorp on 2021-07-13 9, preferring to play solo, and came back properly as _nYxTaku in late September, whitelisted by kira 10. He was never the grinder type. He was the one who found the parkour maps for map nights, beat Parkour Warrior without cheats (“biggest achievement of my minecraft parkour life” 11), and modelled a Zenitsu-inspired katana for the server’s custom models, finished in October 2022 12 13. He freeloaded at abi’s house, joined the castle build, and made the Shopping District’s Terms and Conditions document 14. The Council took him in on 2022-01-04 for being very active 15.

ASMP S2 and S2.5: islands, wars and trains

First player into Axolotl SMP Season 2 16, nYx claimed a small island (“smallest is mine” 17) and joined the prop-nYx-Saitama Alliance 18. His Technoblade noteblock tribute had to be rebuilt many times 19, and the memorial ended in a war, in which he burned DeathHack127’s beach villa (nYx Griefs DeathHack's Villa) 20. In Axolotl SMP Season 2.5 he found Create boring (“create not actually my interest” 21), but his Hogwarts remark gave prop the floating-candle idea for the station 22, and Mount Myx Station is named after him 23.

ASMP Earth: the Emperor of Japan

On launch day he claimed “basically whole of japan” 24, then Taiwan 25. He built a farm, found a single ore vein that was enough for a full set of diamond gear, and laid a runway for prop’s plane (Japan (Ukiyo)). His real contribution was paper: the template for Axolotl News, and the 2023-07-16 issue of The Marincess Herald 26.

Limbo to Create

Prop called him “one of the best planners i know” and asked him how to wire a four-track train yard, to which he answered two lanes for trains and two for storage 27 28. In Axolotl Storm he made shields for the group and a respawn anchor for the Nether trips 29 30. In Axolotl SMP Season 3 he claimed the cat-ear mountain at -1260 ~ 380 31 and spent weeks on Car Mountain Castle, announcing the exterior finished on 2024-11-17 32; prop admitted it “puts my castle to the trash” 33.

Later, he asked for the RL Craft server and set its goal: take down three dragons without dying 34. During the 2026 revival he was loudly mourning his lost “inheritance property” 35.
