Council of Axolotl

ASMP Season 1's governing council, where every active player had a seat and the first meeting went on YouTube as chaos.

Faction ASMP S1 other

After The Fall was repaired, the server went back to its routines, new farms went up, and prop decided the world needed some government. The result was the Council of Axolotl, founded on one rule: all active players on the server are part of the council 1. Its first meeting, held in prop’s secret meeting room, was filmed and posted as a YouTube video that prop later remembered as chaotic and productive in equal measure 2.

Membership was loose by design. On 2021-11-22 prop told Kart that all active members would be in the meeting, and that he already had the council role 3. Suresh was called a council member in the same breath, with the right to call a meeting 4. nYx and RJ were formally added on 2022-01-04 5 (see RJ and nYx join the council).

The council’s best-known output was paperwork. It drafted the terms and conditions for the Shopping District and the server economy, announced to everyone with a role ping on 2021-11-22 6. It was also a convenient target for jokes: IRIS once filed a mock motion to it about Kart’s hole (The Kart's Hole Motion and the Laptop War) 7, and Kart cheerfully called the next gathering a “council of axoltol event” 8.

Season 2 did not carry the council over. On 2022-06-12 prop explained that, with everyone’s limited free time, it was being dropped 9.
