prop was the server’s cameraman. In mid-2021 he announced that he was “sticking to the dream / tommyinnit style intros”, and recited the formula from memory: a clickbait line about the video, then the YouTube statistic that only a small percentage of viewers are subscribed, so please subscribe, “its free and you can always unsubscibe later” 1 2.
The server gave him plenty to film. The first meeting of the Council of Axolotl became a video, as did the “Axolotl SMP Meeting Room Reveal” (packed with Hermitcraft references) and “The Most Chaotic and Productive Meeting” 3 4. Abi's Funeral got both an edited video and a raw cut, styled after TommyInnit 5.
One colour per friend
In February 2022 prop recreated every friend’s subtitle colour from the funeral video as a preset. From then on, “every video no matter the game” would show a person’s voice in the same colour 6 7. Anyone who had not yet spoken in a video had no colour; prop told one friend as much: “so i dont have a colour for you” 8.
By April 2024 he counted just two gatherings that had ever made it onto his channel: the The Technoblade Statue War (“one where u started war”) and abi’s funeral 9 10 11.
