On 2023-07-07 prop asked GrimWatch for a name for the new weekly newspaper of ASMP Earth 1. Grim’s sensible answer was “Axolotl Times”, but he also threw in “MarineCess”, a Marine plus a princess 2. A quick search showed it was a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck, and the name stuck anyway (as The Marincess Herald).
The first edition went out to everyone on Sunday 2023-07-09 as a PDF, with prop recommending that readers download it because the images were hard to read in Discord 3. It used an old-newspaper template with four page layouts and carried free ads for players 4.
The Herald became a Sunday tradition shared between prop and nYx. nYx put together the Second Edition on 2023-07-16 5, prop followed with the Third on 07-23, and the Fourth arrived late on 07-30 with “exclusive content regarding” a block of redaction 6.
Then it ran dry. The 08-06 issue was cancelled “due to lack of content” with a promise of next week 7, and the promise was never kept. On 2023-08-23 prop posted a tombstone, kira a clown, and nYx a GIF, which served as the funeral 8.
