First Manned Flight from Antarctica to Japan

On 5 July 2023 prop announced “ima make the plane trip”, and the ASMP Earth airline industry was born. ¹ Departing from Antarctica, he narrated the whole thing in the chat like a proper airline captain: “Pre Flight Checks has begun”, then “Flight prop airlines requesting clearance for Runway 01. Over.” ^{2 3}

The route took him over Australia and New Zealand on the way to Japan (Ukiyo). nYx was in on it: prop had sold him a second engine plane in exchange for covering fuel, food and a sapling. Elsewhere in the chat Rk crashed Mero’s plane while trying one out. prop dropped a waypoint for the Antarctic end of the trip as he went. ⁴

The same afternoon the flight got its press release. prop posted a YouTube link to what he called “Leaked Footage of first manned flight to another continent by antartica!” ^{5 6} The footage was credited to Antarctica’s research lab, which is the sort of detail the friends relished. It had been a pedal-powered, “fuel less flight machine” plane that prop had mentioned a week earlier. ⁷ The chat itself shows him in the fuel-powered biplane, so the two accounts are best read as one running joke about Antarctica’s aviation programme.
