Nether Roof Portal Network

On a 1:1500 map of the Earth, the fastest way anywhere was up. On 2023-07-22 prop announced “im going to breach nether ceiling now” ¹, and soon after he was shouting “Biggest Breakthrough” and sharing the waypoint for his new roof portal ^{2 3}. That portal, in Antarctica, was the first stone of the network. It also doubled as a flight path for planes, and the group measured the Nether-to-Overworld link range at 257 blocks rather than the usual 128.

The plan was simple: every nation gets its own roof portal. kira built his Cuba one and Mero got one in New Zealand, both encouraged by prop, who wanted every landmark to have one. Over the following weeks, waypoints went flying through chat for each stop: Antarctica, New Zealand, the Central Zone in India (with a portal at the tip of Kanyakumari), Cuba, Africa, Rk’s portal, and one at the Ancient City ^{4 5}. Abishek re-shared the Antarctica, Africa and Central Zone waypoints on 2023-08-22 for anyone who had missed them ⁶, and on 2023-09-01 he posted overworld waypoints for the territories themselves, Australia, Africa, Japan and Greenland ⁷.

The chat also mentions a planned Kerala portal as the site of a “world trade center”, and a portal that leaves the map entirely, though the sources do not show whether either was finished ⁸. The network is part of the wider story of ASMP Earth, where countries like Antarctica, Cuba and New Zealand (Mero) were each claimed by a different friend.
