The great farm census

On 5 October 2021 prop posted a single long message in the farms-list channel of Axolotl SMP Season 1: every farm on the server, with an owner in curly braces and a location in italics ¹. It reads like a census, and it shows how the server’s industry was carved up.

The The Veterans held the biggest pile: a slime farm, an iron farm, a mega villager trading hall and a “singular white wool farm”, all at Veteran Base. Their creeper farm sat outside the nether network, and their wither skeleton farm was on the Nether roof, where “there is a sign”.

prop listed a raid farm (villagers reused for the omega version), the Omega Raid Farm and a copper farm, all through a portal on the nether network, plus a super smelter at the Veteran Base. His Omega Cactus Farm was struck through.

The perimeter crew, not including Kart, owned the Omega Guardian XP Farm in the tallest portal on the Nether roof.

IRIS had a four-type wood farm on the outskirts of the base, with several other entries struck out: a nether stem farm shared with prop, a melon bonemeal farm, a cobblestone farm and a witch farm of unknown location.

kira owned a gold farm near the Veteran portal and a guardian farm through a portal on the Nether roof.

DeathHack had a second iron farm, a villager trading hall and a mob farm at the Deathhack's Godown, all connected to the nether network.

The census also keeps the struck-through entries, a record of farms that had already been given up on. It remains the best single picture of who owned what in the early server.
