Season 1 ended with a countdown and a shrug. On 13 June 2022 kira posted: “t-2 days for season 1 getting yeeted, so If you want to do some final shit on the server now’s the time”, with a poll for what came next. 1
By 19 June the server had been dormant for the better part of three months. kira pinged !online, saw nobody there, and wrote the epitaph himself: “yeah rip s1”. 2 3 In the same breath he told prop to “start making channels for s2”. 4
Deciding what to keep took one line from prop: “i would say everything except the glitchpop axe isnt worth keeping”. 5 The resource pack was cleared of everything but the The Glitchpop Axe, the old channels were archived, and Kart ended up locked out of the archive channel. prop’s Season 2 News post confirmed that the Season 1 server had been taken down and the new one was in chunk pre-generation. 6
For how S1 faded before this, see Season 1 Goes Dark and The Fall. What replaced it is Axolotl SMP Season 2.
