On 19 March 2022, kira told the group: “due to inactivity im shutting down axolotl” 1. He promised the server would return for prop’s event: “server will be back for that dont worry” 2. The official notice went out on 25 March, saying the server would be back “for events/when requested” 3.
It was less final than it sounded. By early May, prop was telling everyone “asmp is online fam” 4, and the server was running again. On 8 May kira confirmed it restarted once a week, on Sundays at 8am 5. IRIS grumbled that it wasted electricity with no one playing.
The dark period is the quiet stretch between the busy Season 1 winter and the later seasons.
