prop Beats the Wither in the End

On the night of 10 to 11 November 2024, in Season 3, prop set out to fight the Wither in the End.

The preparation was the easy part. He had collected wither skulls, with the bridge announcing “Spooky Scary Skeleton” for the first ¹, and the next night it announced “Withering Heights” for the summoning itself ². As he told it afterwards, he thought this was “just some normal routine” Wither trap.

It was not routine. The Wither slipped the trap and began “killing every enderman in sight” ³, and prop discovered the flaw in his plan: “i left everything there” ⁴, meaning his gear, back at Cat Mountain (Car Mountain). So he fled through the End portal, fetched his chestplate and totems, set his spawn and returned. nYx gave the retreat its own name: “bro went on a training montage in the middle of the fight.”

The second round went prop’s way. He took a Wither skull on the new chestplate, shot arrows into it until it entered its second phase, then switched to “my smite 2 netherite sword” ⁵. A totem popped, and a second was ready, but the Wither died. On the way out three Endermen chased him to the portal.

nYx’s verdict was “anime ass fight” ⁶. prop agreed that it was fun, and said he planned to animate it.

It was not his first Wither; compare Prop defeats the Wither on Limbo and Withering Heights: Wither Cheesed Through the End on Season 1.
