After Kart fell toward the lava in the Nether, prop decided something had to be done. On 2021-07-18 he declared that “we have to build a platform under our bridge on the lava atleast 10 wide on each side” 1, and then raised the bid: “we build 80 by 80 platform right below this” 2.
The result was a huge platform of sand and cobble, built by prop with help from Suresh, under the Nether bridge near the Veteran Base portal. Suresh, by contrast, ended up stranded in lava on the far side of it.
By September the platform had become a landmark in directions. When someone sent a player “down the fortress” 3, prop asked “what about the huge platform i built” 4 and added the reason it existed at all: “for kart” 5.
