Suresh Pushed Into the Lava

On 23 September 2021, Suresh (BotFragx in chat) asked for a potion of fire resistance near a Nether fortress. ¹ Before it arrived, a blaze knocked him into a lava lake with no blocks around to climb out. “I’m in lava rn,” he reported ², and a little later, “I’m drowning man”. ³

prop had already given him four totems ⁴ and coached him to break netherrack by hand, while Kart got the brewing stands ready. Suresh was, by the chat’s account, in a university class the whole time. The rescue went by screenshare, with a splash fire resistance potion thrown at him. ⁵

Once he was out, the group made the trip worthwhile by hunting wither skeleton skulls, and soon enough had them: “1 more skull and we have enough for wither”. ⁶ The lava lake is probably the Nether Lava Platform (Nether Lava Platform).
