kira’s guardian farm began as an ocean monument. In August 2021 he and DeathHack127 sealed it off and drained it with sand walls and sponge grids, working in 7x7 sections. 1 By 13 September the monument was fully drained, and kira was tearing it down to make room for the farm. 2 A sign on the nether roof points the way to “kira guardian temple”.
The design followed Iskall85’s guardian farm, without the XP section: kira called that part “useless for me since I have gold farm”. 3 abi helped build it, and the chat sometimes calls it abi’s. On 28 September kira declared “guardian farm done”, though when it first switched on a huge swarm of guardians appeared: “so many of those mfers”, with a warning that anyone 24 blocks away was in trouble. 4 5 6
The reward was dark prismarine. After about three minutes of AFK kira showed his haul, and IRIS exulted “we are getting infinite dark prismarine”. 7 8
The farm was almost too good. Storage overflowed the next day and filled IRIS’s shulker boxes with prismarine shards. 9 Much of the prismarine went to abi for his house. 10 The storage was finished on 14 November. 11
The farm survived The Fall but lost its storage in the backup restore. 12 By January 2022 the monument had given about 30 sponges in total, and abi had lost a full set of netherite armour while looting guardian farms. 13 14
