The Technoblade Statue Reveal

prop built a statue of Technoblade, hid it behind a “very obvious huge sand cuboid thingy” near his base, and planned an unveiling. He said the concealment was “more concealed for the video”. ¹ The first attempt had to be postponed, as prop put it, “i can postpond”. ² Then on 7 August he asked everyone to pick a time to be online for a short event: “just like 15 min event but the more ppl the better”. ³

The Technoblade memorial opening took place on 9 August 2022. There were fireworks, noteblock songs and a speech, and the guests first had to sort out missing skins. ⁴ nYx had prepared a noteblock tribute and had been rebuilding the noteblocks over and over. ⁵

It did not stay solemn. DeathHack127 began killing nYx “for the blood god” with a goat horn, others joined in, and the log filled with deaths. ^{6 7} The ceremony became a brawl, and prop was furious that the brawl disrespected Technoblade.

The aftermath was a war. ntize stopped players from killing DeathHack127 during the event. ⁸ In revenge for being killed a few times, nYx destroyed DeathHack127’s base, and DeathHack127 took out his anger on prop and declared war. prop and Fili then killed him in a friendly fight, ending his run without a death. prop summed it up: “man just tried to be nice to not chaos in a event for technoblade bro”. ⁹ He added that stopping the violence had led to nYx wrecking the base. ¹⁰

prop covered the war in his video “Kid starts a war in the name of Technoblade”. ¹¹ Looking back in 2024, prop counted it and Abi's Funeral as the only two major gatherings, both turned into videos on his channel. The memorial’s home is the Technoblade Statue.
