The Plot and Economy Meeting

The council met in the meeting room to settle shop plots and the server economy, and the rules went out as the Shopping District Terms and Conditions.

On 22 November 2021, abi called prop to the meeting room 1, and the group set about the rules for the Shopping District and the server economy. prop, abi, Kart, Suresh and kira took part.

The terms came together quickly. Plots would be 15x15, and abi proposed that “plot price would be 1 daimond block” 2, with one block of monthly rent, a limit of two to five items per shop, shop registration, and an agreement posted at each shop. Other ideas flew around: Suresh suggested a community pvp/parkour map 3, and Kart wanted a /login plugin “to prevent hackers” 4, plus an auction house, a prison, and a request for dead players to return. kira at one point opped players with console commands, then deopped everyone.

The council’s decisions were drafted into a formal document by nYx, and prop pinned the announcement of the “Terms and Conditions regarding the Shopping District and Economy of the Server” 5. The meeting itself went on YouTube as “The Most Chaotic and Productive Meeting of Axolotl SMP Council”. The result is also covered at Shopping District Rules Announced.
