On 5 May 2024, deep in the Wither Storm event, Levi set out to record his own point-of-view escape from beneath the boss to the Nether portal. To get away, he needed a decoy. Kart volunteered, repeatedly dying to draw the aggro of the Wither Storm while Levi slipped away. Levi made it, thanking his friend in chat: “kart ty for th distraction bro” 1. Kart himself earned the advancement Brushing Shoulders With Death for landing a blow on the Storm’s heads 2, and nYx summed up the mood with “Nice” 3.
prop had a camera crew for the occasion. He ran op prop_cam, logging in a second account 4 5, and used it in spectator mode to teleport to and follow Levi, Kart and, a few days later, Hayan 6. The console log suggests this was B-roll for his Axolotl Storm YouTube video.
Kart’s repeated deaths became one of the Storm’s more honourable moments: a friend’s sacrifice, with the camera rolling.
