Season 1 depended on kira’s home connection, so when it changed to Jio at the end of January 2022, everyone felt it. Kart logged the first complaint on 27 January: “600 ms ;-;” 1. Pings climbed as high as 10,000 ms, and the server became practically unplayable.
Talk of an ending
On 30 January prop conceded it was “indeed sad to admit” but maybe “time to close down this season and get ready for wild update” 2, and put the blame on “kira’s recent change to jio” 3. A day later he had changed his mind, refusing to let the world end for a lame reason after it had already survived the Fall:

Waiting it out
The fix was a slow one. The chat suggests the line was moving from Jio to Airtel, and in early February prop was reduced to “gotta wait a month for kira isp to change” 5 after posting that he was missing Axolotl 6. On 17 February kira gave two estimates: ten days for the internet fix, and a month and a half for new server hardware 7 8. Kart briefly read this as the end of the season and the start of a Season 2 reset.
