Inauguration of the Perimeter Project

On 10 November 2021, prop wrote “i formally invite you” ¹ and then put it to the whole server: “I formally invite @everyone for the perimeter inauguration” ². The occasion was the first run of The Perimeter, his TNT machine on the Nether roof desert, and he recorded it. Once things were under way he pinged kira: “perimeter started boi” ³.

The chat records Kart, nYx, abi, Suresh and kira around the event. The first rounds of TNT exposed a huge lava pool, which had to be filled with sand before the work could go on.

Afterwards prop posted the video, an unlisted YouTube upload titled “Inaugaration of the Perimeter Project” ⁴. It set him reminiscing. Axolotl SMP had survived a 2b2t hacker group griefing the server, he said ⁵, largely thanks to abi and Suresh’s grinding, unlike the last server Grim hosted, which everyone quit within two weeks ⁶. He traced the group’s story back to Necro hosting an Origins mod server, then through Mekanism to Create ⁷.
