Prop's symmetrical underground megabase under a giant surface piston, built around Shulkercraft-style storage and some 1800 hoppers.

On 2021-10-04 prop put “Design a megabase” on his to-do list and, the same day, ticked off the hunt for a cool location. 1 2 Starting the build was crossed off on 2021-11-25. 3 By January 2022 he was showing off what he modestly called “my humble base”. 4

It was not one building. Prop planned separate themed buildings, among them a furnace-array hall and a huge piston housing storage and beds, “instead of everything being confined within the base”. 5 Kart sized the piston at 30 to 40 blocks long, and kira was unimpressed: “thats not called a base, but sure”. 6 7

Underneath, the base is built around Shulkercraft-style automatic storage. Prop said he was “building based on shulker craft design” and that the storage was “more the quadruple that of castle”, meaning the The Castle. 8 9 The chat also mentions a bedroom as the main input, a hopper railway, a regen beacon and a nearby raid farm, with a tux suit for toggling events. The symmetry did not come cheap: on 2022-02-28 prop groaned “we need 1800 hoppers wtf”. 10

When Suresh visited on 2022-03-09 he got stuck under a roof of dirt on top of the piston, which prop explained away as “the terraforming”. 11 12 The sources still show it unfinished then.
