Every Season 1 argument about how big a build should be ended up at the Castle. prop used it as the example when he said players “made a huge castle” 1, and a few weeks later he put it plainly:

It also became the yardstick. When the group planned a new megabase in January 2022, IRIS asked whether it would be “obviously bigger than the one in castle” 3, and Suresh, naming existing bases, wrote “castle or japan house” 4.
In February 2022, with shaders on, IRIS spent a quarter of an hour just looking at it:
