The Limbo train network was one of the last big projects of ASMP Limbo, laid by prop in the first week of April 2024. It ran from spawn to kira’s base some 2,141 blocks away, the two ends being the network’s main stations, with a train yard serving prop’s own base.
The trick was that it copied the Create Track Map and the Train Network: the exact lines on the map were the exact tracks in the game. 1 A Train Track Machine supplied the rails (“got 2.6k train tracks ready to use”) 2, and prop admitted that “never knew building train tracks could be sooo satisfying”. 3
The whole network followed “keep right”. Prop explained that he was “too lazy to invert all the 50 train signals i placed meticulously”, so everyone drove on the right. 4 5 On 5 April he announced that the network was complete. 6
Laying the track was not without casualties: at one point the route ran through abi’s house, the site of the server’s nether portal, and prop joked that he had nearly flattened it with the train. 7 See Abi's house nearly flattened by a train.
The network ran for only three weeks, until the world was destroyed on 26 April 2024 (see The Lava Cast).
