On 5 April 2024, in the small hours of the server’s console log, prop typed the sentence he had been working toward for days: “train network is complete”. 1 The day before, the server had logged him earning the “Expert Driver” advancement for the Create mod. 2
The finished Limbo Train Network has two main stations and one train yard. 3 One station is at spawn and the other is at kira’s base. The yard was prop’s own stop. 4
Keep right
The whole network runs on a “keep right” rule, and the reason is simple laziness. prop laid the right-hand side of the track first and planned everything around it. He was “too lazy to invert all the 50 train signals” he had placed “meticulously”, so he declared keep-right the standard. 5 6
It was a quiet finish to the network, announced by one player in server chat with nobody much around to hear it. It was still the point where the Limbo world’s Create build-out became a working railway.
