This was a trade. nYx wanted fuel for smelting stone bricks for Car Mountain Castle, and in exchange he offered prop real estate for a project shown on the creative server 1. On 3 November 2024 prop posted the tutorial designs: a kelp farm, and a “kelp smoker thingy” 2. They chose the first, an auto-crafter with fuel and XP, and prop promised “entire farm for you will be underground” 3.
It turns kelp into dried kelp blocks, which burn as furnace fuel. By prop’s own account it was a “random ass design” whose only new feature was the auto-crafter and smoker loop 4.
“kelp farm ready”, prop announced on 12 November 5: kelp goes in the top chest and kelp blocks come out of the bottom one 6. After three days on an AFK bot it had filled almost half a double chest of kelp blocks 7. In the planning forum thread, prop wrote “project completed” on 15 November 8. Part of the wider Car Mountain build-out.
