Create in Season 2.5

Season 2.5 (Axolotl SMP Season 2.5) was the first season built around the Create mod, with JEI, Simple Voice Chat and Terralith alongside it. The chat from February and March 2023 is full of stress units, windmills, steam engines, trains, item vaults and brass funnels, and of Zedaph’s “Flat-ory” designs. ¹

The odd economy was the defining quirk. Everything in Create needs iron, and as prop put it, “we have more diamonds than iron” ² because of the mod ³: “even 1 iron ingot is 2 andesite casing gone”. ⁴ Windmills versus water wheels and the rotational speed controller were the topics of the week, and prop’s own setup stalled at 99% for lack of materials. ⁵

Opinion split. prop was converted: “man i love create mod”. ⁶ nYx was not: “create not actually my interest”. ⁷ That divide would return later, as The Create Mod Hate.
