prop built a villager breeder in Antarctica, found that mob griefing off stopped villagers picking up food, and fixed it with a mod.

Event ASMP Earth 16 Jul 2023

A day after curing his first villager (see Zombie Villager Cure), prop set about growing a population on ASMP Earth. On 16 July 2023 he moved his two villagers into a breeder with a trapdoor trap to catch the babies.

Nothing happened at first. The server had mob griefing turned off, which stops villagers picking up the food they need to breed. prop’s answer was a mod, Convenient MobGriefing, which he linked in chat 1, and then the gamerule he set himself:

The change worked. “THEY BREEDING” announced prop 3, and the first baby villagers from the Antarctic breeder were soon captured in the trap. Mero was watching, and joked about prop as a dictator running villager farms.
