The Revival Event

It was meant for New Year, or near enough. prop explained that it was “not for new year bro its different event”, supposed to have happened two days earlier, and postponed to 3 January because he had been out of town ¹. kira had already had the surprise spoiled and was telling everybody that it was good ². To keep the suspense, prop asked players to wait in the event voice channel and only join the server when he said so ³. At least one player turned up early and was told “u are 1 hour early” ⁴. Saitama was meanwhile locked out by “too many login attempts” ⁵.

The group gathered at a place they called the “funeral location” ⁶. There a stand-in account, “Bleh”, was summoned as the ghost of abi and slain on cue by prop, DeathHack127, Saitama and Kart, again and again, to a chat log of “Bleh was slain by ProPlayerPlayz using [Valkyrie II]” ⁷. The chat suggests this followed the mock funeral held for abi a few weeks before (Abi's Funeral), and prop later cut it into the “IRIS revive” video.

Half the recording, by prop’s own account, was people messing about with custom models. Then he revealed his secret Death Note model “in front of everyone” ⁸, and kira’s reaction (“bro that note is mine… i am kira”) made him the video’s main character. The ritual, as the script had it, only worked if you were willing to “twerk at the soul fire” ⁹. nYx recorded the whole thing with shaders ¹⁰.

The chat suggests the same evening may be the “Reveal of the Palace” that prop later credited to IRIS, nYx and the other builders (see The Palace), but no message says so outright.
