The Cracker's Wither Storm Mod event had been grinding on for four weeks when prop called everyone in for one evening. His pitch: “we just push this and defeat the boss and we can all be in peace and i get to finish video”. 1 kira followed with a mass ping on the day, 2 and prop restarted the server to clear the RAM. 3
Prop reset the rules for the night: keepInventory on, 4 and bows, arrows, bread, ender pearls, water buckets and Wither Storm amulets for everybody. 5 nYx was handed the mod’s command block book. 6
What followed was long chaos. Players died to Withered Symbionts and Sickened mobs, DeathHack127 tried to swim in lava, and they crafted the command-block tool one by one. He was first to log the “F-Bomb” advancement for obtaining a Formidibomb, with prop following two minutes later. 7
At about 15:57 all four players set off their bombs and earned The Strong Grow Weak… for blowing up the Wither Storm. 8 All four then “experienced a catastrophic explosion”. The Storm was not dead. Three minutes later the same four got …The Weakened Arise Stronger, 9 and through it all they kept killing one another.
By 16:05 deathhack127 announced “aight soo this smp over” and proposed returning to survival. Prop shut that down: “its going on hold”. 10
He still counted the night as a success, reporting “Event went well… Video Footage aqquired”. 11 Where the catalogue summary claims the Storm was beaten, the chat says it rose again, so this museum goes with the chat. The earlier sessions are covered at The Wither Storm Event Begins.
