Season 4 Launch Day

Season 4 of the Axolotl SMP opened on Friday 18 April 2025. prop had announced that the “server officially launches” at 09:30 ¹, and the first thing he did once inside was settle the world itself: a /seed check, then the line “we go random seed”. The number, 4983626566757101229, went up in chat and was pinned ².

Next came the walls. prop set the world border to 1000, thought better of it, and made it 2000, centred on 0, 0, announcing “now world border should be 2000 by 2000” ³. Small world, big plans.

First blood

Later that day prop, nYx and kira (playing as GlitchSabre) were all online and out caving. The server’s chat bridge kept the score. Early on, “nYx_Taku was slain by GlitchSabre” ⁴, and kira then spent a good stretch of the session being shot by skeletons, slain by a zombie and a spider, and shot by skeletons again, all in one session ⁵.

It was not all death. Later in the same session the feed announced that prop and nYx had stepped into a trial chamber, with kira following two minutes later, each earning the “Minecraft: Trial(s) Edition” advancement ⁶. A trial chamber on launch day, inside a 2000 block border, was a lively start.

Season 4 started the way the friends’ servers usually do: a seed, a border and a few quick deaths.
