Season 4 began with one line from prop on 12 April 2025: “going to start a new world” 1. The rules arrived minutes later, as a short list:
- we gonna have a small world border
- forcing closer player bases
- world border will increase by 2k blocks for every major version update
- and thats it 2
Nothing fancy: no mods, just vanilla. The small border was meant to squeeze everyone’s bases together.
The seed
For a first look prop picked a temporary seed with a Pale Garden near spawn, to show off the new update. nYx’s reaction was “Wtf is all that?”, and prop later drew the creaking for BotFragx to explain 1.21.5. He warned that a different seed would replace it when the server actually launched 3 4.
Ready
By the end of the day prop pinged the Active and “Alive but not Active” roles: the new server was “fully ready”, and everyone just needed to hop on 5. See also Season 4 Launch Day.
