Axolotl SMP Season 2 began with a short ceremony and a one-word command. On 19 June 2022 prop announced that Season 1 had been taken down and that the new server was still pre-generating chunks 1, then asked when everyone was free for “a short opening ceremony” 2.
The next afternoon Akshay asked “now it’s happening no da?” 3, and prop called everyone to voice chat 4. prop told kira “do it” 5, and kira replied “done” 6, though he could not attend himself.
The server announced itself at 14:04 7. kira noted that nYx was the first to join 8. prop’s later chronicle adds that prop, nYx and Akshay were the first three in and made a peace alliance near spawn. The world was a brand-new 1.19 Wild Update map, the first time “da bois” would explore the deep dark together 9.
Prop’s own start was less dignified. He died to mobs about a dozen times in the first hour and called it a “nice comedy start” 10. Kart and Akshay joined the hunt for early advancements, and Akshay later found diamonds in a vein of four 11.
