On 9 May 2024 kira logged into Axolotl Storm and found the worst possible spawn. “bro there is a wither above my fucking head,” he reported. 1 The Cracker's Wither Storm Mod monster was directly overhead, and he was chomped repeatedly as he rejoined again and again.
In the middle of the chomping he earned the advancement Brushing Shoulders With Death. 2 prop noted that kira was the first person to get it. 3
Prop and nYx organised the rescue. Prop charged a respawn anchor to the maximum, earning Not Quite “Nine” Lives. 4 Then he fed kira coordinates over chat, repeating “-327 ~ 174” again and again. 5 A crashing server restart also played a part in the escape, according to the lore readers’ notes.
Afterwards the pair looted a bastion for gold and ender pearls, and prop declared kira a “new character unlocked”. It was one of the early dramas of the Wither Storm event, and a base in the nether (Storm Nether Base) became the refuge.
