Proposal to Ban Carpet Bots

prop proposed banning Carpet-mod bots after the hack; kira said the griefers' use of them was no reason to ban them.

Event ASMP S1 2 Nov 2021

On 2 November 2021, with the Minecraft server down, prop noted that the Discord had “fallen into the abyss of inactiveness”. 1 Later that day he proposed to kira that Carpet-mod bots be banned, since they’d “been abused enough” and he believed the server was hacked because of them. 2

kira disagreed: the griefers had targeted the server because of the bots the group spawned, “but doesn’t mean we have to ban it”. 3
