PSA Inc Super Smelters

The cobble factory's underground double super smelter with an integrated lava farm, named PSA Inc by prop and abi.

Place ASMP S1 build

The smelters began as part of the cobble factory at Veteran Base. In mid-October 2021 abi and prop built two super smelters fed by a bot-operated lava bucket farm, and abi crowed “now steve owns the factory”, after which prop reckoned the two smelters at “steve co ltd” beat the one he had built and removed. 1 2 The redstone broke again on 2021-10-18, and the lava farm was taken out pending a move. 3

The finished version was a wall of furnaces fed automatically from the lava farm, switched with two levers; the lower lever brought fresh lava into the fuel chest. 4 5 Prop spotted “a fatal fault”: a hopper bottleneck meant only about six furnaces did the work. 6

On 2021-10-27 prop suggested the name: “abi how about the name PSA inc for that supersmelter factory thing”. Shortly after, “its done” and “part of veteran city now”. 7 8 9 kira borrowed it to smelt sand into glass.

It did not last. On 2021-12-11 prop struck the Omega Cobblestone Factory, the lava farm and the “Super Smelter x2” off his farm list under “Farms that got Decimated and erased from reality”. 10
