India (spawn)

On ASMP Earth, the world map of the real Earth, spawn lay in India, which made it, in prop’s words, “technically the central point of the map”.

That centrality became a rules question. On 14 July 2023 prop posted an official ASMP Earth poll: should the server remove all the artificially placed end portal frames that came with the map, except the one in India? ¹ The case for keeping that one was that India was spawn.

Because India was spawn, it was also where players reappeared after dying. On 18 July prop was killed by a zombie while trying to bring one into his iron farm, then lamented that he had respawned “at nazi india” ², a nickname he used for the region after his death.

Ten days later he had plans for the place. Chatting with kira about the season’s farms, he announced that he would “setup a simple shop at India” near spawn ³.
