Waypoint Sharing in Chat

Players pasted VoxelMap or Xaero waypoint strings into chat so friends could find bases and builds.

Curiosity ASMP S1 tradition

On the Axolotl servers, giving directions meant pasting a waypoint. In Axolotl SMP Season 1, prop posted VoxelMap strings straight into chat, such as one marking an ocean monument 1 and a “guardian boi” waypoint with a temple icon 2. A Nether waypoint went up the next day 3.

By ASMP Earth the format had changed to Xaero’s Minimap. Players such as Abishekishere shared locations like “Plane” 4 and “Antarctica Roof Portal” 5, and the Discord bridge relayed the raw strings unchanged, so chat filled with lines like xaero-waypoint:Plane:P:18803:63:31895:....

When the server’s IP changed in S1, the shared waypoints suffered; see The IP Changes and Kart's Waypoints Die.
