The Earth and Limbo servers ran datapacks that handed ordinary players a few of the powers normally reserved for operators, through Minecraft’s /trigger command.
Name colours
The best known was /trigger color. prop tried it on 21 July 2023 with /trigger color set 1 and judged it “good shit”. 1 Players picked numbers for their chat colour: prop reserved aqua for Antarctica, kira chose -15, Rk -11 and Mero -7. 2
By March 2024 the command had a menu. Running it printed “Click a color to apply it to your username”, followed by sixteen colours from Black to White. 3
Statues and item frames
A Statues tool offered “Customizable Armor Stands”, with the book coming from /trigger as_help. In September 2023 prop pointed out that “that thing has inv item frames also”, and showed the command: /trigger if_invisible set 1. 4
On 28 March 2024 prop put it simply: “there is a /trigger command”, and “it will give you clickable menu”. 5 6
