The stacking raid farm was the forbidden fruit of Season 1. On 29 July 2021, kira laid out the maths: “stacking raid farms are the way, you can get about 200k emralds/h and 100k witch drops/h” 1. Then he thought about the server and gave up: “so ig witch farm it is” 2. He and prop agreed to build their own private farms and the raid farm together, and he refused to abuse dupes.
The ban got tested on 30 December 2021, when IRIS shared a 1.18 stacking raid farm design and said “i am a build this”. prop warned “server will literally explode if we build this” 3, and kira answered “ima ban you” 4.
In March 2022, Hermitcraft Season 9 launched (Hermitcraft Envy). kira was more interested in performance on the faster hardware, but still ruled: “no stacking raid farm allowed this season” 5. prop said he was saving the “emerald meta” for the next season, and wanted a lore reason for the reset.
For what the server did build, see The raid farm dream and The Raid Farm.
