Immersive Aircraft

The required mod that put biplanes, helicopters and pedal copters under ASMP Earth, and turned planes into both transport and shulker boxes.

Curiosity ASMP Earth mod

On ASMP Earth, planes were the main way to get around 1. The Immersive Aircraft mod, marked by prop as a REQUIRED MOD 2, made that possible.

prop’s first aircraft needed no fuel: “this is a fuel less flight machine btw”, running on pedal power 3. An iron-and-copper gears upgrade made it 10% faster, and there was a “propeller” upgrade, because of course there was 4. Later he built a biplane with a two-stroke engine of two pistons and a blast furnace 5.

The controls became common knowledge: space bar to throttle up in the biplane 6, and R to get out 7. Upgrades were the real hobby, and prop declared “gyroscope is op plane upgrade bro” 8. Hull, landing gear and sturdier pipes followed, along with drones and a runway 9; Abishek (IRIS) pointed out the irony that no one used the runway 10.

Planes also became portable storage. Some carried banners 11, and prop’s plan for storage was “we will use plane as shulker box” 1. The mod was updated for 1.20.1, then updated again on 17 September 2023 12.
