The funeral video premieres

On Christmas Day 2021 prop released his edit of the funeral footage, with a suspense intro, subtitles and an ending that felt planned.

Event ASMP S1 25 Dec 2021

After Abi's Funeral, prop had the footage and a plan. On 21 December 2021 he reported he was “editting the funeral video”. 1 Over the next few days he cut the footage, added a suspense intro and subtitles, and teased the finale with a spoiler-tagged promise: “the ending is really wholesome and satisfying it makes u feel like this video was planned”. 2

He released it on Christmas Day, and also shared the raw footage unlisted for anyone who wanted to see every angle. The group loved it, and the thread filled with praise for the editing and the subtitles (“peak content, peak editing, peak subtitles”).

kira summed up why it mattered: “but good to have a cc in our smp, some good shit to look back at”. 3 Prop, never a modest man, called it the “best video i ever made”. 4

Several people got favourite moments out of it, Saitama’s “give the back” line among them. Those moments are collected in Funeral Video Moments.
