After a long silence, prop announced on 2 October 2024 that he would “revive server in the next 10 minutes” 1. He considered upgrading to 1.21.1 but decided against it: the world was already on 1.21, and 1.21.1 was just a hotfix for language support 2.
The bigger question was whether to start over. A new world was proposed, and kira, who admitted he would love one, argued otherwise: “let’s not loose the progress you made” 3. The old world stayed.
The server started at 09:44 4, Levi joined, and Kart and Hayan are listed among the day’s participants. Chat records suggest it became the most active day in the server’s history. At one point prop posted pictures of a suited skin standing in a wooden hut while Levi fought him, a small flavour of the day’s chaos.
The revival kicked off the late period of Axolotl SMP Season 3. The comeback after the next outage is told in New Year's Eve Return and the 8-Month Video.
