Around 21:00 on 14 December 2023 the Limbo server began to cycle. The console shows it booting, running for about half a minute, then stopping and saving again, and repeating roughly once a minute from 21:09 to 21:30, more than twenty times 1 2.
The post-mortem came the next day. kira summed it up: “server had a stroke lmao” 3. prop was more precise about the damage:

He likened it to how “we spam ctrl S to save code” 5. Prop blamed a Pterodactyl scheduling quirk after he had set up automatic restarts, and the chat suggests a similar loop had hit the week before. The loop later had a sequel in January 2024 (Pterodactyl Schedule Loop; see also The Pterodactyl Panel).
