Plane Through a Portal Experiment

prop built a plane-sized portal to test whether aircraft can use portals. They cannot.

Event ASMP Earth 22 Jul 2023

On 22 July 2023 prop decided he should “make a plane sized portal”.1 A short while later he reported “theory tested”.2

The result: planes behave like boats. If no player is aboard, the plane teleports instantly; with a pilot flying it, nothing happens.3 Planes cannot fly through portals.
