On the first night of The Return, the server’s TPS fell to about 15 with only two players online. The culprits were hundreds of block entities and villagers in the Veteran Base. prop and kira (GlitchSabre) responded with what prop called Operation Clean Up: “operation clean up is going good”. 1
His brief was blunt: “my goal is to consolidate and destroy everything that is unecessary”. 2 Out went Jeswin’s old builds, forgotten paths, junk from the “pre deep dark” days and every block of podzol, with the dirt saved for terraforming. 2
On 1 November prop reported that the mountain by the slime farm was gone (“done terraforming the mountain fam”), 3 and he flattened the hill where the bridge between the main base and the shopping district had once stood. 4
Before-and-after screenshots made the case: the cleaned half was regrassed, while the untouched half was still a mess of sea lanterns and end rods. By 3 November prop was sending kira pictures of the cleared surroundings, with the next zone lined up. 3
