nYx Claims Cat Ear Mountain

On 1 July 2024, nYx returned to Minecraft and made his demand known: “That cat ear shaped mountain”. ¹

prop was the one who knew what lay beneath it. “there is an ancient city”, he said ², and the mountain turned out to sit over a double ancient city. nYx, never one to waste an accident, concluded that he had claimed the largest such structure by luck and declared “I shall be getting exclusive rights”. ³ He joked about charging a tax on anyone who wanted to enter.

The claim was pinned at -1260 ~ 380, under the name Car Mountain. prop’s typo gave the place its nickname, covered in Car Mountain, and the claim itself is catalogued as the Cat Ear Mountain Claim. It also fed prop’s talk of widening the world border, which he said would grow by thousands of blocks once he moved to 1.21. It all happened in Axolotl SMP Season 3.
