abi's tongue-in-cheek name for diamonds, a pun on Genshin Impact's Paimon, and the currency of Season 1.

In November 2021 diamonds got a new name. abi, the story goes, was creating a new currency called “paimonds”, a pun on Paimon from Genshin Impact. 1 Kart’s reaction to the idea was “derpcoin”. 2

The name stuck, and prices on the server started to be quoted in it. IRIS offered “2 paimons for one”. 3 Suresh asked “paimon?” the next day. 4 Kart proposed “1 paimond per 2 stacks” of something, 5 and IRIS wanted “20 paimons for the vex wing” from kira. 6 According to the lore readers, abi would accept payment only in paimons.
