Every friend group has a place where embarrassing moments are kept for future use. For the Axolotl crowd it was a pair of channels, first #out-of-context and later #pin-heaven.
The idea was a clipboard for screenshots, each captioned as misleadingly as possible. In July 2022 kira was posting entries such as “prop admits to hacking” 1, and in August came “fili fucks a creeper” 2. The captions had no need to be fair, because the point was that a screenshot said one thing and the caption said something else.
By September 2022 prop had taken over the idea in #pin-heaven, preserving friends’ out-of-context moments under exaggerated headlines 3. One such entry in 2023 was a caption about DeathHack127 that is best left in the archive 4. To be pinned was to be publicly shamed, and everybody was fair game.
The tradition ran for years. On 31 October 2026 Fili, returning after what he called “a million years” of inactivity, found himself the target of one more caption and replied: “Caught a stray while being inactive for a million years” 5.
