The earliest ruling on duplication came on 12 July 2021, the first week of Season 1. kira declared “duping not allowed”, because “duping destroys the fun in the game” and “we dont want that” 1 2 3. Duped diamonds, the chat records, were destroyed in lava.
The rule held. In October, when prop asked about a carpet duper to feed his super smelter, kira’s answer was flat: “No item duping allowed” 4. Around the same time prop spelled out the one gap in the law: duping was not allowed on the server, except TNT duping, “the only duping even mojang didnt patch over several updates” 5. His cobble farm used a TNT duper. Sand duping needed kira’s permission 6.
