On the afternoon of 21 July 2022 the plan was a joint Wither fight the next day: Sian told eb “lets do it tmr”, but added that he “might do atleast 1 wither solo tho” 1. Fifteen minutes after eb logged off, he did. It was the culmination of days of preparation (wither skulls, soul sand and a purpose-dug arena underground). The server marked it with the advancement “Withering Heights” 2.
His verdict was a surprise: “not gonna lie the wither was dissapointingly weak” 3. He said it took less than three minutes 4, and the loot was 33 wither roses 5. He also found just 9 diamond ore, and noted that he had got more diamonds while making the area 6.
eb had left the game shortly before the fight, and returned in time for a second Wither. The server credited him with “Withering Heights” as well 7.
