On the last day of July 2022 the End of Season 2 got a second dragon. The server announced that eb had reached the goal “The End… Again…” 1, and moments later Sian landed the kill and earned “Free the End” 2. The tools were Sian’s own end crystals, and the recipe turned out to be refreshingly cheap: “just 4 end crystals” 3.
The first thing eb asked for was the egg. Sian’s answer, delivered with total finality, was “no egg”, because “thats a first timething” 4. eb had also fallen through the portal and missed the experience, so Sian helped himself to it.
The next afternoon eb ran the fight himself, collecting “Free the End” 5 and then the goal “The Next Generation” 6 with a modest “gg”. Sian, meanwhile, was left lamenting “I didn’t get the egg” 7. He had paid two netherite ingots for the one he owned 8, which makes the whole saga a small lesson about the dragon egg’s market value.
