Picking the Axolotl seed

In July 2021 kira asked for seed suggestions for the new season, and prop's 25836763 won: a plains spawn next to jungle.

When kira was preparing the new season on 2021-07-10, he handed the choice to the group: “select a seed for the server” 1.

The suggestions poured in. GrimWatch made up “J1983” on the spot, and kira’s map of it showed a good variety of biomes.

Suresh offered seeds with a mansion visible from spawn, and IRIS a spawn inside a woodland mansion and a desert with five temples and eleven villages. kira wanted a village that was neither too close nor too far, and a good mix of biomes.

On 2021-07-11 prop came in with the winner: “25836763” 2. kira checked it in Chunkbase and approved: “spawn is plains with jungle nearby” 3, with every kind of biome close at hand. It became the world of Axolotl SMP Season 1; see Season 1 World Seed.

The same day kira also asked prop to change the name of the server, as “Potato SMP” was, in his word, cringe 4. See Potato SMP (It's Lore Now).
